Exceptional customer service and delicious food -- Daniel Boone Inn is a gem! We visited this past September and arrived close to closing time, but the staff didn't bat an eye or make us feel rushed. They were friendly and welcoming the entire time, and service was impressively fast. The food is served family style, and it's packed with all the Southern staples you'd expect -- fried chicken, green beans, mac and cheese, country ham, biscuits, and more. And if you want refills on anything, just ask! The mac and cheese was soooo good; I couldn't stop eating it. You even get your choice from 3 desserts at the end. We loved all 3 but the Strawberry Shortcake was the favorite of the table. One thing to note -- it's cash only. But don't worry, they do accept personal checks (even out-of-state ones!) and there's an ATM in the lobby if you need it. I also loved how they've preserved the history of the building, which was once a hospital and inn. While we waited to be seated, we enjoyed checking out the mini museum on the wall, which adds to the charm of the place. Overall, fantastic food, great service, and a unique setting. Can't wait to come back when I'm in the area. *also, want to give a big shout to the restaurant for their amazing support to local hurricane victims by donating over 2,000 meals to those in the community impacted by Hurricane Helene. It was just one more reason to love this place.*

Family style. Tons of it. Refills on anything. Includes 2 meats 6 starch/veggies AND their own biscuits. Also includes a dessert and well as drinks. staff was terrific too to bottom. Hadn't been in a while and all was pretty much like i expected. Some things are better left untouched and unchanged.

Came for a family dinner after a day trip for a fun day of snow tubing in December. We had read great things about the Inn however was a little apprehensive due to price and thought that perhaps some of family may not like the food offerings. However, every single one of us said it was one of the best meals we ever had!! Well worth the price and experience together as a family. Service was awesome as well. The different courses of food were all outstanding - a few favorites included the fried chicken, green beans, ham biscuits, and desserts! Everything was so good.

Outstanding place to eat. It's family style, which means everything is brought out in bowls and platters and placed on the table. My family and I, have ate hear numerous times and it's always been wonderful. Fried chicken, steak and gravy, mashed potatoes, corn, fried apples, etc. Then there are those biscuits and country ham. I'm drooling as I think about them. Absolutely amazing. They have dessert at the end of the meal, but I'll be honest, I've never made it that far (dang biscuits and country ham). When you're in Boone...this place is a must. Go!
